The 2024 edition of the Cities and Mental Health conference will be held at two venues in the city center of Lausanne: the Casino de Montbenon and Plateforme 10 on 19th and 20th November.

Switzerland’s fourth-largest city and Olympic capital, Lausanne is a city at human scale, offering a pleasant balance between urban activity and relaxation. Its hillside location, distinctive relief and lakeside setting offer many spectacular views of Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Built in 1908, the Casino de Montbenon enjoys a unique location in Lausanne. Just a 10-minute walk away from the railway station, set in magnificent gardens with a breathtaking view of the mountains and lake, it was renovated in 1981 to become a key cultural and social venue in Lausanne.

The Casino de Montbenon will host :
• Plenary sessions on November 19 (all day)
• Plenary sessions on November 20 (afternoon)

Unique in Switzerland, Plateforme 10 is home to three museums: the Musée cantonal de design et d’arts appliqués contemporains (MUDAC), Photo Elysée and the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts (MCBA), as well as the Toms Pauli and Félix Vallotton foundations.
Just a stone’s throw from the railway station, Plateforme 10 presents itself as an authentic Lausanne district. With its vast esplanade, this dynamic place offers passers-by and art lovers restaurants, terraces, bookshops and arcades.

• The conference dinner on November 19
• Breakout sessions on the morning of November 20

By train
The organizers encourage travel by train. There are excellent railway connections to Lausanne from many French cities and other European cities. To consult train timetables and buy train tickets in Switzerland, you can use the Swiss Federal Railways online portal.

By plane
The international airport of Geneva is 40 minutes away of Lausanne (direct trains).
